HOW AND WHEN WE STARTED.
I’ve never seen a good technician who could not also do the work of a very capable worker!
(A comment once made by my tutor and mentor, G. Fontana)
Who we are
Mario Carbognin acquired his VAT registration (I-00305730244) at the age of 26 and on 1 January 1974 he began to rent a 65-sq.m basement at Alte Ceccato in the Province of Vicenza, where he started to produce small transformers and electrical components used in heating appliances and systems.
He had acquired his Perito Industriale (Qualified Industrial Technician) diploma in July 1965 in the specialist field of telecommunications at the ‘A. Rossi’ Technical and Industrial Institute in Vicenza.
In September of the same year, he started working in the technical department of a company specializing in heating systems. This was the first stage of his career. After a few years, he became a technical designer and tester of electrical equipment designed and produced for heating appliances and systems.
It was at this point that he decided – despite a lack of financial resources – to become more directly involved in this activity by starting up his own business.
It 1979 work began on the construction of a small building covering an area of 650 sq.m at the site where the Carbognin company still operates.
In 1980 the technical laboratory and electromechanical construction workshop equipment and systems were transferred from the former premises at Alte Ceccato to the new location in Via Crispi in the industrial and craftwork estate at Montecchio Maggiore.
After a few years the firm hired its first employees..
Almost thirty years have passed since that time, but the premises and production site have slowly grown and have been restructured and improved in many ways.
Let’s say that our intention is to resemble a sturdy wooden tree! In the sense that, even though such a plant will tend to grow more slowly than other softer species, we plan to remain solid over time and always resist the toughest weather.
ENTHUSIASM AND PASSION ARE KEYWORDS IN OUR ACTIVITY!
The extreme flexibility of our operating systems and careful stock management allow us to produce transformers in a very short time, also for one-off orders, and, whenever possible, to provide for delivery using our own vehicles.
Quality
In order to provide our clientele with secure products, all stages of production – from the purchasing of raw materials to the final testing of every single piece – are regulated in accordance with our specific quality manual.
This document includes the ISO 9002 standard guidelines referring to our specific activities. While costs and bureaucratic procedures are minimized, compliance with the essential content is fully ensured.
- Our products are manufactured in compliance with the harmonized European standards and, in the absence of pertinent guidelines, with the international IEC regulations.
- Generally, we also refer to the CEI 96-1, CEI 96-2 (EN 60742) and the more recent CEI 96-3 (EN 61558) standards.
- If applicable, we also refer also to the IEC 989 and IEC 726 texts and, in the case of reactance coil devices, to the CEI 15-5 (EN 60289) standard.
- Our production includes transformers for electrical/electronic medical equipment in compliance with EN 6061-1 (IEC 601-1 CEI 62-5) and, more recently, with the CEI EN 61558-2-15 guidelines. In any case we remain at our clients’ disposal for any particular requirements.
WITH THE FUTURE IN MIND
The CARBOGNIN company was established in 1974..
Since that time we have continued to invest many resources to improve the quality of our products, safeguard the environment and enhance our production processes, ensuring our clients are guaranteed punctual delivery and the continuity of our service.
Various things have changed over the years but the name of our firm, the sole-proprietor formula and the family-based company management have remained intact.
We feel this bears witness to the seriousness and soundness of the managerial approach that we have maintained over the years..
However, the future is always just around the corner and we have to make sure our company will continue to develop and grow.
With this in mind we are currently assessing and planning a future stage when the control of the firm will be assumed by the second-generation managerial team.
The handover of responsibilities will occur in such a manner as to engage the innovative energy of the younger directors without losing the wealth of experience and knowledge so far accumulated.
