Single-phase column transformers
Also manufactured in single quantities
- The ‘COLUMN-TYPE’ designation indicates that the distribution of windings occurs on two columns instead of just one.
- This solution allows for the use of magnetic cores with smaller cross-sections, thus reducing the inrush currents, besides distributing the heat-exchange surfaces in a more uniform manner, thereby avoiding dangerous points of excessively high temperatures.
- These transformers are manufactured in accordance with the CEI 96-1, CEI 96-2 (60742) and CEI 96-3 (EN 61558) standards when the voltage is lower than 1000V.
When it goes beyond this limit, we go refer to CEI 14-8 (IEC 726).
KEY FEATURES OF THE SINGLE-PHASE COLUMN TRANSFORMERS
For SELV-PELV safety/protective systems use double-isolation or reinforced-isolation transformers according to the IEC-EN 61558-2-6 standard (with secondary voltage not exceeding 50 Veff.)
- DESIGNED ACCORDING TO THE SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CLIENT (constructed according to any requirements in terms of technical characteristics and size).
- Isolation materials listed in class F (155°C) and class H (180°C).
- Compact size, thanks to the use of laminated steel presenting very low loss.
- Class 1 (requires ground connection).
- Degree of protection from IP00 to IP10.
- Impregnation with oven-dried paints and resins (guarantee of perfect isolation, low-noise and reliable operation also in humid and tropical climates).
- The metal components are all galvanized.
- Routine or type-based testing on each piece (on demand we will issue a test certificate).
- If required, these products can be provided with ELECTROSTATIC SHIELDS AND THERMOSTATIC SENSORS INSERTED BETWEEN THE WINDINGS.
- The tables below show the indicative dimensions of a transformer with an input voltage between 48 and 650V and an output voltage between 48 and 650V at a frequency of 50-60Hz.
- DIMENSIONS MAY VARY DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF INPUTS, OUTPUTS AND INTENSITY OF THE CURRENT..
